possibly still, enjoy my not-in-the-least-melodramatic responce to this revelation. :( (the stange stuff at the bottom of the image there btw is "colour", which i have decided to try and play around with a little bit.)
first attempt at drawing with a dipping pen. fair few mistakes. turns out keeping the pen full isn't quite as important as keeping it clean. there are a few thick lines in this caused by fluff on the nib. i'll have a jay cloth on stand by next time. i'll see if i can dig out a "mapping nib" from the old bits and pieces i have kicking around also. (on the plus's i'm am chuffed with how the body shape worked out)
something doesn't satify me about this, maybe i'll try using the character in a drawing rather than just having him stand there, or maybe its the way i've rendered it. this is the rotaring again, which had come back to life thankfully. i should still buy and experiment with some dip pens though, i think i might prefer the line.
